| Mad Dog Beaulo and Mekong The Beaulo is Mad Dog's interpretation of the classic heavy duty
utility chopper in a quicker,
more carriable/concealable package with snap cutting ability when used in knife
fighting.
It features an elegant 1.75" x 10" robust drop point blade with a very
slim false edge that speeds up the tip.
Grip thickness is between the standard grip and extra thick TUSK grip.
The Mekong is one of the first blades to be made with
filework after Mad Dog started doing them again.
Its 12" clip point blade is cut from 2" stock though, with its large
positive included angle,
it is significantly slimmer than the original bar stock.
It features the same type of thick grip as the Beaulo but with a rounded butt and
no thong hole.
The Beaulo and Mekong were born on a full moon along with
their African brother, the Makulu ATAK.
The volcano pictures taken by Beau and I use the very active Kilauea volcano on
Hawaii (the Big Island) as backdrop.
We had a lot of fun but the sulfur dioxide rich smoke is actually very nauseating. |
